The Quiet Revolution: Tending Our Grief Changes Everything

This is a short and sweet one, because I feel like I’ve been moving through honey (or mud, depending on the moment LOL) all week.

Anyone else out there feeling like this??

I’m doing some deep personal healing in these past few months, and it is slowing me down in a way I really haven’t felt before.

And that is a good thing.

I think if everyone, and especially those  who are making decisions that change the lives of many, were to slow down and feel more, we’d be living in a far more peaceful world.

But here is an even more interesting thought:

It is said that the movement of a butterflies wings can affect the weather thousands of miles away.

🦋 This is known as the “Butterfly Effect,” in Chaos Theory. 🦋

And what if that were true?

What if it were true that even those of us who feel we have very little power to change global events actually had tremendous power.

What if our tiniest choices are actually changing everything?

🦋 What if the conscious choice to slow down, to feel, and to grieve our losses fully could change the outcome of everything? 🦋

What if we just breathed and planted flowers all day and that actually healed our entire neighborhoods?

(I’m experimenting with this some days lately…)

(The butterflies & bees will definitely appreciate us!! 🦋 )

Can we really know the breadth of the impact that one kind gesture has in the world?

How far does a warm smile to a stranger ripple out?

It has been proven that when enough people in a given area are meditating regularly, crime rates and violence go down in that area.

What if we reached a critical mass on the planet of remembering who we are?

What if we are more powerful than we remember?

What if co-regulation is actually a global thing?

What if being willing to face and breathe into our deepest pain and suffering is actually the key that unlocks peace liberation for all beings everywhere?

We don’t need to know the answers. Sometimes being in the question is the most beneficial.

My invitation for you is this: can you stay curious and open to the possibility that what you have perceived so far may be only a small part of the picture?
