👉Beginning April 22nd through August 12th 2025, the Roots of Ritual journey will take you deep into the foundations of grief tending and group facilitation while allowing you to learn from wherever you call home.⁠
⁠
🌍This new online training will run concurrently with our full training program (Levels 1 & 2), with participants joining many of the same calls together, creating a rich and diverse learning community.⁠
⁠
But this is not just a training - it's an initiatory journey into creating alchemical spaces where suffering transforms into medicine.⁠
Our journey will unfold through these 9 Modules:⁠

🌲 Differentiating & Addressing: Understanding grief, complex grief, and trauma⁠
🌲 Somatic Skills for Grief Tending: Embodying practices that release stuck energy⁠
🌲 Somatic Skills in Practice: Learning to Guide Through Feeling⁠
🌲 Somatic Skills for Moving Primal Energy & Anger: Honoring the fierce protector that often guards our deepest wounds & our deepest GIFTS⁠
🌲 Story as Elder: Discovering how myth becomes medicine for the grieving soul⁠
🌲 Tending the Inner Fire: Facilitator Self Care & Preparation⁠
🌲 Ethics & Relational Dynamics: Creating containers that truly hold everyone in the circle⁠
🌲 Planning Your Grief Support Circles: Bringing your unique medicine into the world⁠

Throughout our time together, we'll explore how grief work is fundamentally decolonization work - reclaiming our emotional sovereignty, our right to feel deeply, our connection to ancestral ways of metabolizing loss collectively rather than in isolation. ⁠
We'll examine how colonization has severed our relationship with grief and how we can restore these vital practices.⁠

🚪We stand at a threshold. The old colonial world – built on systemic oppression, disconnection from body and Earth, and the numbing of our collective grief – is visibly crumbling around us. ⁠
⁠
💔It is incredibly painful to witness, as the dinosaur of colonialism is falling, it is causing immense suffering. It is taking many with it. ⁠
⁠
🌷Yet simultaneously, we witness the tender green shoots of something new emerging: communities reclaiming sovereignty, honouring the natural goodness of human Spirit, and remembering our sacred relationship with the more-than-human world.⁠
⁠
💧Grief tending creates a bridge between these worlds - the old and the new - and it is becoming ever more critical to have these spaces of support as we are now in what Francis Weller calls, "The Time of the Long Dark."

🌘For despite the gravity of this season of division and disconnection, still, when we grieve together, something remarkable happens – we encounter one another in our raw, undefended humanity. ⁠
⁠
We are all needed now, the tribe of the broken hearted. ⁠
❤️The open hearted. ⁠
❤️The tribe of the KIND. ⁠
❤️The tribe of CARE. ⁠
❤️The tribe of HUMANITY. ⁠
Grieve and then, eventually, move into right action, which might mean dancing, making art, mothering or taking to the streets. ⁠
